Tapioca Pearl: Sabudana Khichdi

Most people are familiar with Sabudana kheer, but this spicy Sabudana Khichdi is going to knock your socks off.

Sabudana, also known as tapioca pearl, is an extremely nutritious and healthy food. It contains high amounts of carbohydrates and calcium that improve digestion and bone health.

Whether you’re craving a scrumptious snack or a side dish that’s easy to make, you can make sabudana khichdi to add flavor to your dastarkhan. It’s somewhat comparable to Bhel Puri in taste and texture. 

This sabudana khichdi is bursting with flavor with a kiss of health with fresh veggies, herbs, and spices.

 

Sabudana Khichadi Recipe

Ingredients
  • Sabudana 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Peas 250 grams Boiled
  • Corn 1/4th cup Boiled
  • Tomato 1 small
  • Onion 1 small
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Green Chili 1 small
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Lime 1 small
  • Olive Oil 1 tbsp
  • Salt To Taste
  • Pepper To Taste
  • Coriander Fresh
  • Green Onion Fresh
Directions
Step 1
1: Saute onion in olive oil on medium flame.
Step 2
2: Add cumin, ginger, chili, garlic, and tomato.
Step 3
3: Saute on low to medium flame.
Step 4
4: Add boiled peas and corn.
Step 5
5: Add sabudana and let it sizzle for 5 minutes.
Step 6
6: Season with salt and pepper.
Step 7
7: Add lime juice.

Tasty Sabudana khichadi is ready to be served!
